Hebrews 135 Don't love money; be satisfied with what you have. For God has said, "I will never fail you. I will never abandon you."  6 So we can say with confidence, "The LORD is my helper, so I will have no fear. What can mere people do to me? 

Today we study God’s Word regarding the Christian’s attitude towards money. To the world money is everything. Whether it is comforts, status or even survival, man needs and depends on money. Without money it appears man is nothing.

But God’s Word tells us how to treat money. First of all it warns us of the danger of loving money.

It tells us to beware of greed because it is the root of all evil.

Marriage (Study on Hebrews 13:4)  E-mail

Hebrews 134 Marriage is honourable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge.

The next area that we need to give attention to is the family. Especially the relationship of husband and wife. It is instituted by God. It is not the idea of man.

Among all relationships

People take their job very seriously. Some take their friends very seriously. Some their hobbies and pass times. Some the church and God’s work. All this is good, but next to our relationship with God, the most sacred and important human relationship should be that of husband and wife. We must be careful in all relationships, but we should give the marriage the top priority.

Remember Suffering Saints: Study on Heb. 13:3  E-mail

Hebrews 13 3 Remember them that are in bonds, as bound with them; and them which suffer adversity, as being yourselves also in the body.

 

We are to love the brethren and continue in it. We are to entertain strangers. Next we are told to sympathize with those who are suffering.

 

  • The sufferings of the saints

It was a common experience for Christian converts to suffer great affliction and persecution from their own people. They were discriminated and isolated; their properties were confiscated; they were falsely accused; they are put in prison on false charges.
